Albert Kawmi, Associate

Market research, social media, online analysis and development.

Albert graduated in 2008 with an M.Eng in Electronic Engineering, before returning to Glasgow University to pursue his interest in music. The following year, he completed an M.Litt in Popular Music Studies, with an emphasis on the music industries. 

This opened doors into the music business, providing valuable experience of grass roots marketing and promotion within Glasgow's independent music scene. Albert developed this experience with record labels Soma Records, Mungo's Hi-Fi and Flowers in the Dustbin, whilst also working as a musician and freelance music producer. As the importance of online marketing activities continued to grow, he became more and more involved in the world of social media. 

At Culture Sparks, Albert undertakes research design and analysis for various consultancy projects, with a focus towards social media and online analysis. He has a strong interest in new media and digital technologies - particularly in finding new ways of applying these to the creative industries.
