Wendy Grannon, Independent Media Comms & PR
“Dianne is dedicated, hard working professional whose attention to detail is second to none. She is a perfectionist in the best possible way. When dealing with figures and budgets she is pin point accurate and she has an excellent eye for print and design. She is fun to work with and an excellent leader of her team - motivational, respected and well liked - a rare combination. In short - she is the best.”
Valerie Carlaw, Communications Manager, University of Strathclyde & ex Head of Marketing and Communications, Scottish Opera Theatre Royal
Dianne Greig, Senior Partner
Specialising in marketing, communications, digital/social media and research consultancy, Dianne works with a variety of Scottish arts and cultural sector organisations and venues on a wide range of public engagement projects and programmes.
In close collaboration with members and clients, Dianne determines appropriate development and capacity building strategies and leads in their delivery. Her Culture Sparks consultancies are wide-ranging and can involve short-term box office sales analyses with venues or more involved projects that incorporate all aspects of strategic audience development: from an initial research phase, ultimately to evaluation and recommendation stages. Here Dianne will often support team members in the delivery of the tactical elements of a project. She is also currently leading Culture Sparks' WhiteNOISE project, a collaboration with individuals, organisations and venues in the Visual Arts in Glasgow focused on defining and increasing audiences for the sector.
Dianne’s professional career began at Scottish Ballet when she joined the marketing team in 1991. She then moved to Scottish Opera/Theatre Royal Ltd, progressing through the ranks to become the company's Marketing Manager in 2000 where she was instrumental in the promotion of hundreds of traditional and contemporary opera, dance, drama, musical theatre and children’s productions and projects. While managing a team of marketing, press and education officers, a typical season involved achieving a seven-figure box office income through the marketing of main scale opera productions which toured to venues throughout the UK; Scotland-wide small and medium scale opera tours, community concerts and in excess of twenty visiting company productions at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow.
Dianne has undertaken academic studies in Social Sciences (economics, history, politics, psychology, sociology) in addition to marketing, research, business administration and management training and CPD. She is also one of the inaugural mentors on the Federation of Scottish Theatre's Step Up year-long programme.
